TARP recently signed a contract with Mansfield Land Use Consultants of Traverse City,
Michigan to complete a design and engineering study for the Thompsonville Junction trailhead
project. This Phase 2 study will provide a detailed analysis of the project site along with
architectural drawings of the proposed visitor’s pavilion, improvements in the campground, and
landscaping plans. When this study is completed, TARP will have “shovel ready” plans for the
project and a cost projection based on current labor and material costs. Work continues with
grant applications and fund raising for the project. Stay tuned!
